Today’s news of a Newcastle company that has been fined $600,000 and has to pay WorkCover NSW’s legal costs after a worker was fatally injured by falling aluminium containers weighing more than one ton at the company’s warehouse, should be a warning to all employers who have a warehouse and who have bulk storage or stacking facilities to ensure they are safe and cannot fall.
